Is Our Camp Right for Your Child?
This camp is perfect for kids ages 4-12 who:
-
Struggle to adjust to larger, less-structured camp settings
-
Would benefit from targeted therapy services integrated into a fun camp experience
-
May feel overwhelmed or disconnected in traditional group environments
-
Need extra support in areas like emotional regulation, social skills, or sensory processing

Traditional summer camps are often bustling environments with large groups, minimal structure, and a focus on fun over individualized needs. But for some children, this can be overwhelming — that’s where we come in.

At our Therapeutic Adventure Camp, we offer something different: a nurturing, small-group experience designed to help children grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Guided by the ConTiGO (Connection & Transformation in the Great Outdoors) approach, we seamlessly blend therapeutic support with outdoor adventures, helping your child thrive while they have fun.

Our team of skilled professionals works closely with each camper to support their unique therapy goals, all while creating lasting memories. With 20 hours of tailored therapy in just one week, your child will be actively engaged in improving skills while enjoying everything summer camp has to offer!

What Sets Our Camp Apart?
Professional Leadership with a Passion for Connection
Our camp is led by Rachel Davis, a certified pediatric occupational therapist trained in the ConTiGO approach. This approach emphasizes connection, transformation, and outdoor exploration to help children build social and emotional resilience. Alongside Rachel, we have OT graduate students and trained volunteers who are passionate about supporting each child’s journey.

Intentional Grouping Based on Needs and Goals
Rather than filling spots on a first-come, first-served basis, we carefully assess each child's unique needs to form the most effective and supportive group dynamic. This thoughtful placement ensures that children are paired with peers who share similar goals, ages, and personalities, allowing for a richer, more meaningful camp experience.

Small, Mixed-Age Groups for Personalized Attention
Our groups are small — no more than 6-7 children per session — and each group includes a mix of ages, with children grouped in 3-year spans (4-6, 7-9, and 10-12). This size allows us to give each child the focused attention they need, while also promoting peer mentoring and social growth in a safe, supportive environment.

Customized, Flexible Programming
We understand that each child’s needs and goals are unique, which is why we don’t follow a rigid curriculum. Instead, our therapists design and adapt activities based on your child’s specific therapy goals, with flexibility to adjust throughout the week to ensure they’re always working on what’s most relevant to their development.

The ConTiGO Approach: Connection & Transformation Through Nature
At the heart of our camp is the ConTiGO approach — a philosophy that views nature as a powerful tool for emotional and social growth. By connecting with nature in a mindful, therapeutic way, children are able to develop better self-regulation, increased confidence, and greater resilience. Nature provides a safe space for them to explore new challenges and skills, and we integrate it into every aspect of the camp experience.
Building Meaningful Connections and a Strong Sense of Belonging
Rachel emphasizes forming deep, authentic connections with each child. We believe that when children feel truly seen and valued, they can thrive in ways that extend beyond therapy goals. The ConTiGO approach ensures that your child experiences emotional growth through meaningful relationships with peers and adults in a supportive, community-centered environment.
