About Rachel Davis-Zaugg
Rachel Davis-Zaugg, OTD, is a pediatric Occupational Therapist and the founder of Playful Peaks OT. She earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain College in 2023 and has experience in school-based services, pediatric outpatient care, and adaptive recreation.
Rachel is passionate about helping children grow through play—especially in outdoor environments where they can move, explore, and build confidence in meaningful ways.
Outside of work, you can find Rachel with her dog, Mira, biking, climbing, or hiking. She believes deeply in the transformative power of nature and is committed to helping every child feel more confident, connected, and capable in their world.

The ConTiGO Approach™
Playful Peaks OT is guided by the ConTiGO (Connection & Transformation in the Great Outdoors) Approach™ — a specialized, evidence-based method that helps children build confidence, connection, and regulation through nature-based occupational therapy.
Rachel holds advanced certification in this framework, one of only a handful of therapists in Utah trained in this approach.
